I am a Pack Mouse (Rat is such a gross word)

Who out there is not guilty of keeping things they will probably never need? It's always, "Well maybe I'll need this as a prop in the future" (If you're an actor you totally understand this.) or "What if I decide this gray itchy wool sweater is a look I wanna sport some day?" Give it up people and clean out your closets!

I'll help you by sharing a few of the things I did away with.

Coloring books I got from the dollar store and a blue flower I took off of the dress I wore to my senior homecoming dance. For which, I might add, I was nominated queen. Although it was a nomination from the Drama Club I'm still proud.
The fact of the matter is I didn't want it on the dress then and there isn't anything I'm going to be able to do with it now. Into the yard sale pile it goes!
The coloring books I've kept just in case I get the urge to color. Let's face it, if it hasn't happened in the past 3 years it probably isn't going to. So those go to my niece and nephews. If for some reason I get the urge I'll go buy another from the dollar store or print something off.

Tiny plastic easter eggs!
I've got about 2 dozen of these critters rolling around in a shoe box just waiting to be used, and yet I know I can't do anything with em. So they'll go in the yard sale pile and if they can't be sold they'll go in the garbage. OR maybe I'll hide them in people's yards with little notes! Yay note eggs! Actually now that I think about it they are no longer for sale. If I love you, you might be getting and egg in your yard.

Got this sock my freshman year of high school when I was at a weekend long speech competition. It had a mate at the time. I'm still quite fond of the sock but without the mate it will not get worn. So to the trash it goes.

A playbill for Hairspray, a key card from a trip to Disney World, an unused notebook with some ugly puppies on it, and some color swatches I once swiped. We have like a bazillion pictures from every Disney trip I have ever been on, so it's a safe bet that I won't be needing the key card to remember Disney. I had two playbills from that show and I'm not sure why I've kept them both this long. I guess I thought I'd make some sort of frames out of the color swatches. I've got too many other things to do.
As far as the notebook, I've got tons of others and that one is ugly so it's gone.

Rings my niece got me for christmas. They're cute but flake easily and I don't want to keep them around till christmas so they're gone.

A ton of shoes and clothes that I no longer wear or no longer fit me. I'll spare you the details of each article. Some of these are really old and I've outgrown the style.

My favorite pair of jeans! It kills me thinking about it, but these have got to go. There's a hole slowly being worn into the back that is just not classy. The knee holes were not in the original design either. Just good ol' fashion wear and tear. You can't see but my old favorite band, Family Force Five, signed the space above my right knee. These jeans served me well in their time. Now I'm hoping to turn them into a purse, but quite honestly they'll probably get thrown out before that happens.

That concludes the blog post on the things I've gotten rid of.

Till next time!

Creating Onward,
E.M.G.

  1. Coloring is awesome. You should never give it up. Next week I have to defend my coloring title at the Boone County fair.

I need you to help me. My poor parent's basement is full of my junk. I got a rid of a good amount of it a few years ago on eBay but there are still boxes and tubs full of my stuff.

When I was a kid I used to keep everything. I have a couple of boxes of just Ninja Turtle empty product boxes like cereal or candy wrappers. I was crazy...er also crazy.
