This blog is supposed to be about one actor's journey of self. I believe organization relates. Finding organization in this world of chaos is a miraculous thing... Also I'm still trying to figure out exactly what to post.
So here are my tips. (I hope these help Josh.)
- Try to sell some of the items you have no use for. Putting them on ebay or just having a good ol' fashion yard sale is a great way to make a few extra bucks while pushing your crap onto someone else. It also feels good to get rid of something without just sending it to the dump.
You can find some tips on how to yard sale here.
- Donate. Church care missions, salvation army, thrift stores. Look around. There are always people in need. You might think it's no longer useful but someone else might very well be grateful to have the item.
- Use it. If it can be used then don't let it go to waste! Exercising machines are probably the biggest victim in this category. I could give you a giant lecture on why you should use your exercising machines but I won't. I'll simply say that you should use them. You've paid for them and they should be put to work. Exercise will never make you feel worse if you're in a bad mood.
- Put it on display. If you have a few old figurines that you had when you were a kid then put them out in the open.
If they're so important to you that you can't bear to throw them away then they better be where you can see them. Otherwise ....you'll have to-
-THROW IT OUT! If it isn't going to be used or seen. Throw it away. If you really want to remember it then take a picture and start a picture box. I'm serious. You could have half a shoe box full of pictures or you could have a garage full of crap you do not need. Both will preserve the memory and one will leave you with space to breathe.
Has anyone seen the movie 'Labrynth'? There's a scene where the characters apear to be travelling through tons of piles of garbage. As it turns out these piles of junk are attached to people... or things that were once people. It's just a bunch of hunchbacked critters that are carrying the weight of all their stuff with them.

| This is going to be if you can't learn to throw things away. |
When I finally went through all of my boxes of trinkets it felt really good to reconize things for what they were and toss em.
Hope this helps someone.
Creat onward,
