Coming Home from Slothsville

It's about time I got up from the couch I've been living on and do the things I keep talking about doing. So this is me starting a blog, in step number one of making my life something i want it to be.
I was worrying over what to call my blog for a while. It had to be perfect and catchy. It had to be adorable without being cheesy. The title is everything. It draws you in and tells you a little about what you'll find inside.
I started with 'Of Faith and Theatre'. It was going to be a blog about a christian in the world of theatre. How does one survive? How does one keep their faith in tact and still function as an actress in the difficult business of show?
I scrapped it because quite frankly I just didn't feel like writing about it as much as I thought I would. It left me bored and not really caring about faith or theatre.
I then switched to 'Creating Onward'. I don't hate that one but for some reason it just doesn't sit quite right with me. Just one of those feelings I can't explain.

Finally I decided on 'I am Erin Michele Gabbard', because that's who I am. There is a lot more to me than I could put in one title so I figured this was the best way to do it.

I'm still a christian struggling with the theatre world but that's just a small part of me. I'm also a christian who's struggling with the christian world.
My family is so weird that they're going to have a category all their own on this little blog.

I'm planning on going to school in the fall for massage therapy. I think it would be really cool to put together a whole new form of relaxation therapy. There are so many people in this world who don't know how to take care of themselves and I think it's important to educate them.

I own and operate this sweet little motorcycle.

I am a major Joss Whedon fan and if I have a single goal in life it is to work with him.

And I love Jesus even though I'm trying to decide what that means for me right now.

There are so many things that I could tell you right now about who I am but honestly I'd rather just let you find out in the posts to come. And I plan on posting.

I also plan on reading. So if you have a blog you'd like me to check out post a link. I'm looking to make connections and hopefully learn a few things about this dag blog business. It can be majorly confusing.
