Here are my top five scenes from Part One!
5. Dobby's reappearance!
I felt soooo cheated when they left him out of the 6th movie. He is such a lovable, brave character and to not give him his 'hero's ending' was a heinous crime.
(I'll give Bill Weasley an honorable mention here as well. He wasn't as magnificent a character as Dobby, but I still liked his story. It was kind of funny watching them cram it into all of ten seconds.)
4. George Weasley (missing one ear) walking in on Harry and Ginny kissing before the wedding. The kiss was really sweet and then George creeping up on them with a 'big brother' look was priceless. The scene just had a really good dynamic. Cute kiss and a Weasley Twin funny moment is a good combo.
3. The scene with all the Harrys.
I had loved reading this scene. I tend to glaze over fight scenes in books because they tend to get to involved for me. I start trying to picture it and when I can't I just skip over it to get the gist. J.K. Rawling did an excellent job at drawing me in and keeping me there all the way through till they landed at the Weasley home. When the poly juice came out I got very excited as I remembered the scene that was to ensue. And it did not disappoint. All the spells flying, and broom flying the air was the perfect thing to start the movie off. From that point on I was hooked into this film.
2. Harry pulls Hermoine into a dance.
I am a firm believer in dancing to heal the soul. This scene is an excellent example of that. They got to ease their burdens, even if for just one song. It made me smile and tear up so it ranks in my top 5.
1. Finally: The Wedding Scene.
The second the magical glowing ball crashed into the tent to the warn everyone, I knew I would be seeing the next movie at midnight. You saw little glimpses of all of the characters you cared about without being able to focus on them. Which is just what the main three must have been feeling. They had to find each other and get out while there was a battle raging around them. Insane! It gave me chills.
That concludes my top five.
Let me know what ya think? Did I pick some awful scenes or were you thinking of the same ones?
Creating on,
E.M.G.
