Body Swap Me!

Everything is FINALLY sorted with the Los Angeles flights. I actually think South West airlines handled the situation pretty well (of course I wasn't the one on the phone with them each time. Again major thanks to my mother). Computers just go wonky sometimes. And South West was very forthcoming with an offer to reimburse any over draft fees and a credit of $150 on a future flight.

So now that the flight has been solidified I am officially excited! I know all kinds of things like rental cars, hotels, and awesome  things to put on the awesome itinerary need to be worked out but I am going!

All of the excitement has me once again considering what my dreams roles would be. The things I most want do in my career. My most recent dream is to be able to do a body swap episode in a series.
These shows just make it look like the most fun!

Lost Girl

Eureka
I guess a lot of ScyFi shows do a body swap episode so you would think it would get old. But it is the highlight of both of these shows. To play a character that has already been established by someone else would be such an wonderfully fun challenge.

And it isn't like the Bond franchise, where each actor can bring his own flavor to the role. You really have to get their mannerisms, pace, etc. down flat to make it work. These actors just do the MOST perfect job at it.

The two guys have the best body swap I have ever seen. I adore them.

I saw Colin Ferguson (on the right) at Fandom Fest and had no idea who he was because I hadn't seen Eureka. I now wish I had seen Eureka at that point because this is funniest 40 minutes of television I have encountered thus far.

So I will be starting a list of things I want to add to my 'Reel'. A body swap scenario is definitely one of them.

Given the chance to play any type of role what would choose? Even if you aren't an actor.

Anxiously awaiting my trip,
E.M.G.

It's Hitting the Fan

This was me before vacation:

And this will undoubtedly be me after:

(The during pictures should be up soon)

Right before I left for the wonderful vacation (that I haven't actually left for yet because I'm autoposting these) I found out that I would start college 2 days after I got back. Egads! To the maximum level of egads!
I have to buy books and register for classes and tell work and get enough blog posts ready to go so that I don't feel like I'm cheating myself and PACK! There is so much more to it but I will not burden you with the details. The point is: I am busy.
I'm going back to school for a massage therapy certification (more on that at another date), trying to keep up a blog that people will want to read, I still want to be an actress, I still want to write, and I really want to continue my quest to bring forth the best me in everything I do.

This includes getting back in touch God and working my mind around love without the constant fire in my chest.
This is probably the first time in my life that I set deadlines for myself and kept them. All the blogs you've been reading since the 4th were auto published meaning I created them and had them ready to go at certain times. GO ME! Not even a year agoa I would've been like 'Screw it. It is a blog that no one is going to read anyway'. Hopefully that girl is dead, never to be heard from again.

One thing is for sure: It's hitting the fan.
Hopefully it isn't shit. Hopefully it's joy and acheivement. I would love for someone to sit me in front of an industrial size fan and sprinkle acheivment through its blades while I sit and soak it up.

It's going to be a fun semester folks! I truly enjoy being busy and I think it's awesome that I'll have one week of bliss before launching myself head first into pandamonium.
Writing! I have a play I want to write, a book, a screenplay,, and so many other ideas keep popping up in my mind. Is anyone else super excited about the things they're getting ready to start?
Let me hear it! What are you ready to start working toward?

Today is your last day to vote on my writing prompt poll so you better get there. I mean it should be right next to this post so it isn't like you'll have trouble finding it.
This has been a crazy random and spread out blog post brought to you by a worn out:
